There are many ways of removing stretch marks. Examples of these ways include the following:

Use of creams and lotions which can be obtained at pharmacies
Herbal remedies such as the use of essential oils
Laser methods such as excimer and Fraxel

Some of these methods work while others don’t. This begs the question: which is the best way to remove stretch marks? This question can be answered by looking at the efficacy of each. These methods can be further classified as either invasive or non invasive.

Natural methods

Creams and lotions contain Tretinoin, Retin-A among ingredients which boost their ability to remove the stretch marks. This however does not make them the best way to remove stretch marks because there have not been proof that indeed creams and lotions do indeed remove stretch marks. What has been observed is that topical creams and lotions only fade stretch marks or reduce their appearance. Though considered easy, cheap and simple to use, home remedies reduce the stretch marks and are largely used for preventions rather than removing the stretch marks.

Laser methods

There are a number of laser methods that are effective in removing stretch marks. One particular method is the use of excimer. It does not have cause damage to the skin hence highly effective. The fact that it is non invasive limits the extent to which it can be used to completely remove stretch marks.

Cosmetic surgery

As a last resort, this is the best way to remove stretch marks as it is invasive, meaning that the stretch marks are surgically removed. Of all the methods discussed above, it is the most effective.
